Save the Manatee Club is an award-winning national nonprofit 501(c)(3) and membership-based organization established in 1981 by renowned singer/songwriter, Jimmy Buffett, and former U.S. Senator, Bob Graham, when he was governor of Florida. Their mission is to protect manatees and their aquatic habitat for future generations.

Goals and Challenges:

  • Too many pages
  • Information difficult to find
  • Hard to tell what the organization really does
  • No easy way to find manatees to adopt without looking through a long list
  • Webcams are hard to view

Our Solution:

  • Streamlined the pages and went from 352 pages down to 40
  • Created a new site map with fewer hidden pages
  • Created a custom post type with a search and filter system so users can easily find manatees to adopt
  • Designed a homepage that outlines the problem, what the organization is doing to help, and how supporters can help.
  • Utilized the video gallery module to create a better display for the webcams
